My Chapped Lips

A problem I often struggle with is chapped lips, especially in extreme weather when hot or cold. Even my habit of licking my lips makes them dry out and then crack. 

The skin on the lips is different from the skin on other parts of the body. Our skin has oil glands that help keep it moist and prevent peeling. However, the lips do not have oil glands, so they dry out quickly.

One of my habits to reduce my lip dryness is applying lip balm before using another lip product that contains color. 

I use a lip sunscreen from the Wardah brand. It is a lip balm with sunscreen. The product is called Wardah Lip Barrier Sunscreen SPF 30 PA+++, which gently repairs and regenerates the lip barrier. In my opinion, direct sun exposure can make the lips darker, so SPF ingredients can help protect them.

Contains 100% pure petrolatum, castor oil, vitamin E, vitamin F and plump oleoactif actively repair and regenerate lips skin and hydrate chapped lips.

Advantages of this product

I use it as a base before applying other lip products. The formula is very light, so even when layered, it does not feel heavy. Instead, it keeps the lips moisturized for a certain period of time. It can also be used before sleeping to help the lips feel softer and more hydrated the next day.

The price is also affordable considering the claims it offers. As a lip sunscreen, it is quite effective in reducing the appearance of chapped lips.

The Disadvantages of this product

Of course, because the formula is lightweight, we need to reapply it once the moisture starts to fade.

It is also not effective for treating severely chapped lips.
